EMC Retrospect Client 7.6 provides an excellent data recovery solution to the user, so that all the necessary data may be retrieved in case of any fatal failure or mishap in due course. Although sending data to the server for creating back-up may be unsafe, this application encrypts the data strongly and sends it to the center in a cent percent secure way. Moreover the user can retrieve all the precious data at any point of time simply by right clicking on the desired option, and retrieval can be done on any computer connected over the internet.

Basically the EMC Retrospect 7.6 is the client version of backup program, and is installed in a Retro client directory. Consequently the user can view the retroclient.exe process running in the task manager. Soon after the Retrospect client has been installed onto a networked Windows computer, it searches for the client computer automatically and logs it in so that it can be backed up.

The application comes with a built-in Mozy, which keeps running in the background like a ghost process, on a desired schedule. This service is also highly flexible as the existing clients can be updated easily by the Retrospect backup server anytime, as per the requirements.

For recovering a backup, user may simply create a DR CD from the backup media to recover a non-bootable Windows client computer. The DR CD can be used for booting up the client and performing a complete restore with Retrospect. Another good part about the application is that each Retrospect Client license enables backups on one additional networked computer client as well.
